Our First Year

One year ago this month we released our first issue. It’s hard to believe that it’s been that long already, but it really has. Sometimes I have to pinch myself while looking at a calendar just to make sure it’s true. In fact, I’m about to try it out again in another minute just to be sure I’m not still asleep.

Over the last year, I feel that I’ve learned a lot, not only about publishing an electronic magazine, but also about myself. One of the largest lessons I’ve learned during this year is that I can’t do all of this alone. There are always things that will pop up that can’t be prevented. But the show must go on. And if I were to do this all alone, the show wouldn’t even be able to happen.

So this is sort of my thank you to those who have helped a lot behind the scenes to keep this electronic magazine active. I wouldn’t have been able to keep this going without you guys! Thank you, Chris Lemon! Thank you, Mick Theebs! Thank you, Brenda Cobbs! Thank you, Rachael Hobbs! Thank you, Sara Puls! Thank you, Kwaku Osei-Afrifa! Thank you, Skyler Dukes!

Authors. I haven’t forgotten you. Without you sending in submissions, we wouldn’t have stories to publish. Thank you for all the great stories!

And readers. You’re the most important part. You’re the reason we continue to do this. The reason we stick it out. We may have been able to create a stage for you to find and read great stories, but that stage would be nothing if not for the audience, the readers, you! Thank you for returning and reading our stories each month!

Thanks everyone! Without you none of this would have been possible.
